Only a 24V DC SELV/PELV-rated power supply may be used to provide LA power. The modules do not use SA power; they use LA power and pass SA power to the next module in the system.
What output current is available and does it change with mounting orientation?
In horizontal orientation, the output rating is 1 A per channel. When the system is mounted in any other orientation (inverted horizontal, vertical, inverted vertical, upside down, or upside up), the module is derated to 0.7 A per channel.
Which removable terminal blocks (RTBs) are compatible with this module?
The module is compatible with the 5069-RTB18-SPRING and 5069-RTB18-SCREW RTBs. RTBs must be ordered separately as they do not ship with the module.
Does the module support removal and insertion under power (RIUP)?
No. Neither the module nor the RTB supports RIUP. Power must be removed before connecting or disconnecting the module or the RTB to avoid electric arc, which could cause an explosion in hazardous location installations.
