DEVICENET

DeviceNet is an open industrial network protocol managed by ODVA that uses a CAN-based bus architecture to connect field devices — such as drives, sensors, and I/O modules — to a controller over a single, multi-drop cable, carrying both data and 24 VDC power simultaneously. Products carrying this tag include Allen-Bradley 294D-series variable frequency drives with integrated DeviceNet communication, 1485C-series trunk cables for both round and flat (KwikLink) DeviceNet media systems, and 1485P-series network accessories such as T-ports and terminating resistors. These components collectively support the physical layer and device-level connectivity of a DeviceNet installation in applications requiring deterministic, peer-level field-bus communication in industrial control systems.
