Control Transformers

Control transformers step down line-level voltages to the lower secondary voltages — most commonly 120V or 24V AC — required to power relay logic, solenoids, pilot devices, and other control circuit loads in industrial panels and machinery. This category includes machine tool transformers rated for demanding CNC and manufacturing equipment environments, general-purpose control power transformers spanning compact low-VA units through multi-kilovolt-ampere panel-mount units, and global-input transformers designed to accept a broad range of primary voltages for international machine builds. VA ratings typically range from under 100VA for small control circuits up to 3000VA and beyond for complex multi-load panels. Controls engineers, panel shops, and OEM machine builders select control transformers based on primary input voltage (240V, 480V, 600V single-phase), required secondary voltage, VA load calculation, and applicable UL or CSA compliance for the target installation.
