It establishes new SA (Sensor/Actuator) power bus segments, enabling isolation between AC-type and DC-type I/O modules on the same backplane. The 5069-FPD passes MOD power and SA power through to downstream modules while starting a new SA power bus, with support for both 12/24V DC and 120/240V AC field-side power sources. Required whenever AC and DC SA power modules coexist in a system, or when total SA bus current exceeds 10 A.

Description
Allen-Bradley 5069-FPD
Compact 5000 Field Potential Distributor for establishing isolated SA (Sensor/Actuator) power bus segments. Install a 5069-FPD between I/O module groups to separate AC and DC SA power buses, or to add additional SA power capacity when total bus current exceeds 10 A. The module passes MOD power through from the backplane and accepts a new field-side SA power connection to start a fresh SA power bus for downstream modules. Mounts on standard 35mm DIN rail with direct side-bus connection.
